Last week Team Beeriety joined Girls Pint Out and 40 of our closest friends for a meetup at Boston’s best Scottish pub, The Haven, for a fun night of drinks, food and conversation. The night was a huge success; everyone seemed to have a great time and lots of delicious Scottish beers were enjoyed while chatting with friends both new and old.

Beeriety Visits the Belgian Beer Fest
Thursday, November 18th, 2010Recently my Beeriety cohort, Alicia, and I took a trot over to Boston’s beautiful Back Bay to check out the Belgian Beer Fest at the Cyclorama. In an all-too-short three hour session, we were able to sample a wide variety of fantastic beers from some excellent American craft breweries as well as several beers fresh from Europe and Canada.
Women & Beer: Getting to Know Girls’ Pint Out
Thursday, November 11th, 2010Last Wednesday marked the first official meet-up of the Boston chapter of Girls’ Pint Out. To show our support and see what GPO is all about, the ladies of Beeriety (me, Erin, Alicia) headed to Deep Ellum for some chatting, some drinking, and some killer duck confit mac n’ cheese.
The Great Pumpkin Beer Taste Test
Thursday, October 28th, 2010Every fall countless pumpkin beers are released. With all the beers to out there to choose from it can be tough to know which one to get. To solve this problem last week the Beeriety crew conducted a blind taste test of 16 popular pumpkin beers. We were hoping to see what beer would emerge as the group favorite when labels, brands and preconceptions were removed. We had a blast, and learned a lot about pumpkin beer in the process.
The Boston Lobster Party
Sunday, October 17th, 2010
On Saturday, October 16th @EatBoston hosted a lobster and beer fest dubbed the Boston Lobster Party at The Historic SoWa Power Station. 15 craft breweries set up shop and brought a plethora of kegs and bottles. In addition to all the craft goodness one can drink, there were 9 of Boston’s restaurants showcasing a number of lobster dishes.
If you are unfamiliar with @EatBoston and live in New England, you are missing out. Sure this isn’t your American Craft Beer Festival, but it’s a damn good time. Back in April they hosted the Boston Bacon & Beer Festival. See a trend forming here? The best food mixed with the best beer!

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010Last week we covered some of the great places and great beer we had while in Chicago, but that wasn’t all the town had to offer. While the Goose Island Brew Pub and Miller’s Pub were a lot of fun, there were plenty more beer-centric locales to try while in town; fortunately we got to try two of them.
