About the Beer:
This week I have selected the Coffeehouse Porter from Berkshire Brewing Company out of South Deerfield, Massachusetts. BBC’s Coffeehouse Porter is an American Porter weighing in at 6.2% ABV and can be found in either a 22 oz bottle or on draft.
In a Nutshell:
BBC’s Coffeehouse Porter is a fantastically delicious beer with a rich dark roast coffee taste.
Berkshire Brewing Company’s Coffeehouse Porter pours a rich dark brown color with a thin soapy-like head that clings to your glass. With a quick sniff you can pick up its mild coffee bean aroma. Upon taking your first sip you will immediately notice the coffee flavors. The coffee flavor is more comparable to that of a simple iced coffee from Dunkin’ Doughnuts rather than a fancy Starbucks expresso or latte. The sweet coffee bean flavors latch to the roof of your mouth and tongue with its smooth creamy texture.
